FOR ONLINE STUDENT SERVICES

While many universities ofer full support student support services for traditional on campus students, many
struggle ofering similar services to online students. Leaders recognize how student services are vital to learners’
success, but the logistics and unique needs of online learners are often costly, overwhelming, and require a new
culture of engagement. Great Basin College has grown to over 60% online and continues to fnd innovative ways to
provide a full suite of support services for potential and current students on a limited budget. The presentation will
share our journey to meet online students’ needs, ultimately improving accessibility and satisfaction.

Organisations and industry bodies are seeking to build capability from within as recruitment of talent becomes
more problematic, enhancing employee engagement through the growth and development of their current and
future leaders. Victoria Polytechnic engages with organisations and industry to deliver contextualised workforce
development programs, covering leadership, management, and specifc technical skill development. Delivery
strategies are fexible and often in multiple locations.
This session will provide an overview of Victoria Polytechnic’s approach to industry and client engagement.
Participants will engage with educational leaders, who are responsible for the management and delivery of both
industry and on campus programs.
