Most Cultural Intelligence models focus on what the newcomer must do to blend in with the host culture. Success-
ful Intercultural relationships are a two-way street. As a result of attending this session, newcomers will be more
prepared to take the next step - living, studying, working, and playing in a culture that may be diferent from their
own. Members of the host culture will be more savvy about what it takes to help others to transition into their exist-
ing cultural environment.

Video vignettes will be used to approach subjects like the use of humor, assertiveness, formality, punctuality, levels
of profciency in the use of technology.
