JAMIE HILTS
Dean, School of MEM and School of NRBE, Saskatchewan Polytechnic,
Moose Jaw, SK

Jamie Hilts has over twenty years of experience in the college and polytechnic
environment. During his career, which spans four provinces, he has been proactive
in meeting the changing needs of both learners and industry.

Under his leadership, Saskatchewan Polytechnic partnered with Saskatchewan
Wildlife Federation to improve education and applied research at a northern camp
dedicated to supporting programs in the natural resources sector. This partnership
was recently recognized internationally, receiving Global Best silver award in
Norway, which acknowledges outstanding partnerships that have a signifcant
impact on local communities.









ANN KRAUSE HANSON
Vice President for Strategic Marketing, Innovation, Waukesha County
Technical College, Pewaukee, WI

Ann Krause-Hanson is an Exemplary Leader. In two years, Ann has facilitated ex-
cellence throughout the WCTC college community. The cross-functional nominating
group describes her consistent, present, open, and seemingly efortless leadership
style that calls out personal growth, engagement, and gratitude in each of us. With
a spirit of both humor and humility, Ann promotes the success of others and pro-
vides an example of leadership that is not fed by personal recognition but rather by
projects well done. Projects like a creative, collaborative AQIP Systems Portfolio, a
data-driven Strategic Enrollment Management Team initiative, and a web site
redesign and marketing campaign-- all while serving as Board Member for WACTE
and as member of the Chair Academy. Go Ann! (She would say Go Badgers!)









BRETT LOVAS
Academic Chair, MacPhail School of Energy, Southern Alberta Institute of
Technology, Calgary, AB

Brett Lovas is an exemplary leader through his leadership, commitment and col-
laboration. His student-centered focus has led to signifcant growth and accom-
plishments for his Electrical Engineering Technology program. Over the past three
years, Brett has been instrumental in leading a number of successful initiatives, in-
cluding facilitating an additional intake of international students, enhancing student
recruitment, acquiring an industry-donated Power System Simulator (the only one
in a Canadian post-secondary institution), creating a new ofering of his program for
journeymen students, and leading his student club executives in developing an
international community service project to Peru. His program accomplishments are
a testament to his strategic mind-set and his ability to create innovative
opportunities for his students.
