The certifcation rate increase from 6% to 52,9%
The introduction of submininum policy to registration process
The introduction of lecturer support system for lecturers
The development of academic conference for lecturers
The implementation of Campus Improvement plan for each Campus
The implementation and monitoring of efective registration plan
The monitoring of efective teaching and learning plan.
JANICE MAINS
Department Chair of Nursing, Sinclair Community College, Dayton, OH
Jan Mains demonstrates exemplary leadership through the development of high
quality curriculum and program outcomes, successful communication strategies
with faculty, staf, and students, and an outstanding reputation in the community
that keeps Sinclair Community College Nursing on top.
During her tenure, the program has undergone three mandated curriculum revisions
in four years, and Jan has managed to lead her faculty through a collaborative
process that allowed them to feel empowered, while meeting the expectations of
the accreditors.
Jan motivates her faculty to attain the Certifed Nurse Educator certifcation, and
although she is no longer in the classroom, she herself became certifed in hopes of
inspiring others.
In addition to her great leadership at Sinclair, Jan is highly respected and regarded
in the Nursing profession.
KATHRYN MCNAUGHTON
Vice President Academic, Students and Research, Vancouver Community
College, Vancouver, BC
Kathryn McNaughton has had a powerful impact in a short ffteen month period.
She has been quick to built trusting relationships with those who report to her and
others in and out of the college. Her respectful and sincere engagement with the
VCC community has been a powerful force generating renewed energy, confdence,
and a focus on building a strong future together. Kathryn has a immense intellect
and employs this with ease to articulate and enact her vision. She is a
transformative leader who listens, thinks, and cares deeply about people. Kathryn’s
contributions on several external government committees is highly valued and re-
spected. Kathryn is a strategic, forward thinking and innovative leader.
