Leading an institution-wide curriculum renewal project is fraught with challenges and opportunities. The session will
share the experiences of a DVC: Academic in leading an institution-wide curriculum renewal project. Policies,
structures and staff development activities necessary to ensure project success will be presented.

• The Executive Manager’s job is to champion the institution’s strategic initiative.
• Policies and management structures must ensure coherence without hindering creativity.
