The Chair Academy

Worldwide Leadership Development For College and University Leaders

Academy Programs

The Chair Academy offers two distinctive programs, a Foundation Leadership Academy, and an Academy for Advanced Leadership. These programs are competency-based and include either six or ten days of onsite leadership training over an 18 month period of time. Both programs include pre, interim, and post 360 degree evaluations to measure the participant achievement of program competencies.

The programs are designed with an applied practicum experience in which participants select a mentor, are assigned an Academy Coach, and conduct the art of reflective practice and journaling.  Both Academy programs are designed to develop transformational leaders by broadening the participant's knowledge of leadership theories and principles, as well as developing management and leadership skills. In addition, participants can also earn up to 9 hours of graduate level credit.
