The UNL Leadership Institute Program is a partnership between the Chair Academy and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). Participants who attend an Academy for Leadership Development can register for and earn 6-9 online graduate level credits. Up to 9 credits (3 courses) can be transferred to other universities. If you elect to apply for UNL's Doctorate or Master's Degree Program in Educational Leadership and Higher Education, and you are accepted into their program, you can transfer 6 hours (2 courses) of these graduate level credits into their program.

After enrolling for graduate credits participants from the Academy Program are assigned a university advisor. This advisor will support participants during their practicum experience. An online forum will also be set up in which participants will have an opportunity to interact with other students registered for these UNL graduate credit courses.

For more information about this program contact Shelia Hayes, Administrative Assistant to the Department Chair, Dr. Larry Dlugosh, to let her know that you are interested in learning more about this graduate credit option associated with the Chair Academy's Leadership Development Program. You may also want to inquire about applying for their online Doctorate or Master's Degree programs.

Participants also have the option of earning a Community College Leadership Certificate. This is completely separate from UNL's Doctorate or Masters Degree Programs. To learn more about this Leadership Certificate, please go to: http://cehs.unl.edu/edad/graduate/leader_prog.shtml#thecertificateAt.
